Jon Stewart's brilliant appearance on Egypt's version of 'The Daily Show'p/pThere were a number of remarkable moments during Jon Stewart's Friday appearance on "Al Bernameg," a popular Egyptian political satire show often compared to "The Daily Show" and hosted by a doctor-turned-commentator, Bassem Youssef, who is often compared to Stewart. Probably my favorite comes at about four minutes and 29 seconds into the above video, when Stewart proves that you can make a Jewish joke in Egypt. Youssef ribs Stewart for his break from "The Daily Show," joking that the TV host is now jobless and aimless, to which Stewart quips, "As you know, my people like to wander the desert." The audience laughs and claps, albeit a bit tepidly (one guy in the back guffaws). "It's been two weeks, I've got 50 weeks and 38 years left."/pa href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/blogpost/post/jon-stewarts-brilliant-appearance-on-egypts-version-of-the-daily-show/2013/06/25/6b628dc4-dda5-11e2-bc84-8049224b33e1_blog.html?wprss=rss_world"Read full article #62;#62;/aimg width='1' height='1' src='http://feeds.washingtonpost.com/c/34656/f/636708/s/2dc5bedf/mf.gif' border='0'/div class='mf-viral'table border='0'trtd valign='middle'a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/twitter/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonpost.com%2Fblogs%2Fblogpost%2Fpost%2Fjon-stewarts-brilliant-appearance-on-egypts-version-of-the-daily-show%2F2013%2F06%2F25%2F6b628dc4-dda5-11e2-bc84-8049224b33e1_blog.html%3Fwprss%3Drss_worldt=Jon+Stewart%27s+brilliant+appearance+on+Egypt%27s+version+of+%27The+Daily+Show%27" target="_blank"img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/twitter.png" border="0" //anbsp;a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/facebook/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonpost.com%2Fblogs%2Fblogpost%2Fpost%2Fjon-stewarts-brilliant-appearance-on-egypts-version-of-the-daily-show%2F2013%2F06%2F25%2F6b628dc4-dda5-11e2-bc84-8049224b33e1_blog.html%3Fwprss%3Drss_worldt=Jon+Stewart%27s+brilliant+appearance+on+Egypt%27s+version+of+%27The+Daily+Show%27" target="_blank"img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/facebook.png" border="0" //anbsp;a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/linkedin/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonpost.com%2Fblogs%2Fblogpost%2Fpost%2Fjon-stewarts-brilliant-appearance-on-egypts-version-of-the-daily-show%2F2013%2F06%2F25%2F6b628dc4-dda5-11e2-bc84-8049224b33e1_blog.html%3Fwprss%3Drss_worldt=Jon+Stewart%27s+brilliant+appearance+on+Egypt%27s+version+of+%27The+Daily+Show%27" target="_blank"img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/linkedin.png" border="0" //anbsp;a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/gplus/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonpost.com%2Fblogs%2Fblogpost%2Fpost%2Fjon-stewarts-brilliant-appearance-on-egypts-version-of-the-daily-show%2F2013%2F06%2F25%2F6b628dc4-dda5-11e2-bc84-8049224b33e1_blog.html%3Fwprss%3Drss_worldt=Jon+Stewart%27s+brilliant+appearance+on+Egypt%27s+version+of+%27The+Daily+Show%27" target="_blank"img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/googleplus.png" border="0" //anbsp;a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/email/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonpost.com%2Fblogs%2Fblogpost%2Fpost%2Fjon-stewarts-brilliant-appearance-on-egypts-version-of-the-daily-show%2F2013%2F06%2F25%2F6b628dc4-dda5-11e2-bc84-8049224b33e1_blog.html%3Fwprss%3Drss_worldt=Jon+Stewart%27s+brilliant+appearance+on+Egypt%27s+version+of+%27The+Daily+Show%27" target="_blank"img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/email.png" border="0" //a/td/tr/table/divbr/br/a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/165667543926/u/0/f/636708/c/34656/s/2dc5bedf/kg/342-363/a2.htm"img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/165667543926/u/0/f/636708/c/34656/s/2dc5bedf/kg/342-363/a2.img" border="0"//aimg width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/165667543926/u/0/f/636708/c/34656/s/2dc5bedf/kg/342-363/a2t.img" border="0"/
