El Sisi to meet Abiy in Russia to resolve Nile dam dispute
Egyptian President Abdel-Fatah El Sisi said on Sunday he hoped differences with Ethiopia over the likely reduction of its share of Nile?s water by a dam being built by Addis Ababa would be resolved when he has talks with the prime minister of the East African nation in Russia. In comments televised live, Mr El Sisi did not give the exact date of the talks or say why he?s meeting Ethiopia?s Abiy Ahmed in Russia, however the two leaders are scheduled to attend a Russia-Africa summit in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on October 23 and 24.
