UN: UN official urges more funding to stave off famine in Somalia
New York, US (PANA) - UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Somalia, Mr. Peter de Clercq, on Thursday warned that without a massive and urgent scale up of funding and humanitarian assistance in the coming weeks, famine could soon be a reality in some of the worst drought-affected areas in the country.
