Turkish Media: Reina Nightclub Main Suspect Captured In Esenyurt District
Turkish officials have captured the main suspect in the New Year?s Eve attack on the Reina nightclub in Istanbul, Turkish media reported Monday. Abdulkadir Masharipov is believed to have mounted the attack on the Reina club in which 39 people were killed, BBC News reported. He was captured in Istanbul?s Esenyurt district after a dragnet throughout Europe in Istanbul?s Esenyurt district, the report said. Victims of the attack, originally claimed by Islamic State militants as revenge for Turkish military involvement in Syria, were citizens from Israel, France, Tunisia, Lebanon, India, Belgium, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, the report said.
