Tanzania: Population growth in sub-Sahara Africa to triple cereal demand by 2050
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (PANA) - Although several studies have shown the global increase in food demand by 2050 can be met by increasing yields on existing cropland, a new study has found that countries south of the Sahara would be unable to meet growing cereal demand through yield increases alone.
