UN: UN mission extracts Machar, others from national park in DRC
New York, US (PANA) - Acting on humanitarian grounds and at the request of the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the UN Stabilization Mission in the DRC (MONUSCO) has extracted hundreds of civilians from South Sudan, including the former Vice-President of South Sudan, Riek Machar, members of his family and aides from a national park in the DRC.
