Sudan: Council of political parties rejects call to ban Opposition Umma National Party
Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) - The Sudanese National Council for Political Parties Affairs has turned down a request by the powerful Sudanese intelligence agency to close down Sudan's largest opposition party, the National Umma Party (NUP), saying the call was not legally substantiated and capable of setting Sudanese politics against security.
