Mauritania: AU chairman optimistic about peace prospects in northern Mali
Nouakchott, Mauritania (PANA) ? "The ceasefire deal signed on 23 May between the Malian government and various Touareg armed groups should pave the way for the sustenance of peace in the country?s northern region," the African Union (AU) chairman and the Mauritanian leader, Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, said.
