(Source: SSA - Swimming South Africa) Swimming South Africa (SSA) has long since recognised the need for both primary and secondary educational institutions to work together with the National Federation to assist athletes in integrating career, education, lifestyle and sporting demands. SSA, has in the past, and currently has, some informal agreements with schools that are following this type of programme, however, SSA considers, that now, is the time to formalise these agreements and to also involve a broader base of schools in all of the Provinces in South Africa.
