Tunisia: Amnesty International wants capital punishment abolished in Tunisia
Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) ? The chairperson of Amnesty International?s office in Tunis, Lotfi Azzous, on Saturday called on Tunisian authorities to abolish the capital punishment, recalling the reign of Habib Bourguiba, the first president of Tunisia, which was marked by the execution of 129 people, mostly political opponents, PANA reported from Tunis.
