From Silk to Sahara: Africa meets Asia
The 99 national Olympic committees from both continents will gather in Kuwait on 26 March for a cultural spectacle celebrating centuries of shared ties, including sporting ones, inspired by the ancient routes linking both continents. On 5 January, the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa and the Olympic Council of Asia held a joint strategic meeting via videoconference to prepare for the Afro-Asian Cultural Event, which will take place at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Scientific and Cultural Centre.
