Middle East peace is still for the dreamers as it is a delusion
As at the time of writing Hamas are considering a peace proposal put forward by the Trump Administration, Egypt and Qatar, to which the Israeli government have agreed. Naturally there are dissenting voices within Israel?s government who may yet scupper this ?agreement? because i the annihilation of Hamas, has not been achieved. We have been here several times before and even if this current proposal holds, long term peace between Israel and Palestinians is simply a delusion. There are too many influential, politically and ideologically motivated bad actors willing to and hoping for the conflict to continue.
